Father Thomas Keating is a Trappist monk (Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance). He is leader of the Centering Prayer Movement and a founder of Contemplative Outreach, a worldwide network of individuals and small faith communities committed to renewing the contemplative dimension of the Gospel in everyday life.
